WHO ARE YOU?

We are looking for an experienced paid media marketing manager and highly motivated self-starter who is keen to learn, embodies a passion for music, and has a love of all things marketing, social media, entertainment, and tech. You understand the importance of paid media to boost organic content, drive sales and fan/consumer engagement, and get genuinely excited about things like audience targeting, ad systems, ROAS and KPIs.

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Paid Media Manager to join our growing team of marketing specialists. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer, and work closely with the Head of Digital Marketing, and associated agency partners, specialists, and brand management team.

The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and have a strong background in paid media strategy and execution, ideally with a deep understanding of/passion for the music industry and fan engagement. You will be primarily responsible for leading and optimizing paid media campaigns across various digital channels (Search, Social, and Programmatic), ensuring alignment with our broader marketing and business goals on behalf of Agency Accounts, primarily consisting of public figures and celebrity-driven products / brand partnerships. The office is based 20 mins from downtown Nashville.

PAID MEDIA MANAGER / ADS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES:

Paid Media Strategy & Planning: Lead the day-to-day development and execution of comprehensive paid media plans across on behalf of Company Clients, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives. This includes:

  • Partner with internal teams, external agencies, and media partners to develop media strategies that effectively target key demographics, interests, and behaviors;
  • Research media channels as applicable based on brand/product KPIs. While digital media will be priority, this includes traditional channels (OOH, Print, Radio/Audio, TV/CTV) and/or trade advertising (B2B) when budget permits. Provide options to review with client team, and cost + KPI estimates;
  • Build detailed keyword lists, analyze search volumes, and make strategic recommendations to maximize campaign reach and effectiveness;
  • Build quarterly & annual media plans for each Client;
  • Collaborate with Account Management & Creative teams to develop a creative brief for each campaign (includes creative best practices, all applicable ad specs, and content suggestions).

Campaign Execution & Management: Oversee the daily management of media plans, including bid recommendations, execution details, budget allocation, and accounting, to ensure efficient use of resources and consistent performance. This includes:

  • Organize and Traffic creative; ensure correct assets are produced, approved by all parties, and handed off to media partners;
  • Generate UTM tracking link for each asset within a given ad campaign;
  • When needed, ability to develop ad copy for paid social considering character limits and consumer habits. Write headlines and descriptions for search campaigns.
  • Run regular search reports to mine for new keywords, refine creative text ads, monitor pacing, and manage overall spend to maintain optimal campaign performance;
  • Conduct A/B testing and experiments to improve performance and overall campaign effectiveness;
  • Manage and optimize campaigns across social media, search, display, video, and programmatic platforms, ensuring that all efforts are tailored to drive acquisition, revenue, and brand visibility;
  • Provide Reporting & Analysis in a cadence as approved by each Client and/or Executive Leadership – Weekly, Monthly, End-of-Campaign.

Budget Management: Build and manage budgets and forecasts at the brand, platform, and channel levels, ensuring that media investments are aligned with goals

  • Track and regularly communicate campaign performance against budgets to key stakeholders, making adjustments as necessary to ensure financial targets are met;
  • Assist with the billing process related to client digital media platform invoicing and reconciliation.

Performance Optimization & Reporting: Conduct data analysis and testing to identify and resolve inefficiencies in campaigns, with a focus on maximizing ROI

  • Monitor and adjust campaign pacing, ensuring that budgets are utilized effectively across platforms and brands. Develop and present detailed monthly performance reports, highlighting key insights and learnings.
  • Optimizing campaigns based on these findings to enhance effectiveness and ROI

Industry Trends: Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and platform updates, particularly in Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other relevant channels, to ensure that our Company (on behalf of our Clients) remains at the forefront of paid media:

  • Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement and apply best practices;
  • Research and maintain knowledge on category/industry trends and/or seasonal trends as it applies to paid media.
  • Share applicable news/updates to internal team and clients when applicable.

Miscellaneous Team/Office Support: Our team trusts and respects each other. We are high performers. And we keep our own egos in check. Sometimes that means we take turns taking out the trash. Other team member requirements (as needed):

  • Embrace company mission and values;
  • Support department administrative tasks and meeting calendar coordination;
  • Execute day-to-day tasks as needed and special projects as assigned;
  • Position may require some weekend and evening on-call work as needed. This job is not 9 to 5. Fast-paced and exciting environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAITS - THIS POSITION:

For this marketing specialist position, we are specifically looking for the following:

  • Successful and demonstrated experience (minimum 3 years, ideally 5 years) in executing and managing paid media / digital marketing campaigns, ideally with a considerable portion of that experience within the entertainment, music, or sports industries;
  • Proficiency with major digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads, YouTube, Performance Max, Discovery, The Trade Desk, Walmart Connect, etc.) and analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.). Certifications are a plus;
  • An innate understanding of current digital marketing technology trends and best practices, specifically as it relates to campaign strategy. Ideally has knowledge/experience related to e-commerce optimization, Google Tag Manager, CRM and data management. Experience/knowledge of social commerce a plus;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and optimize campaigns accordingly;
  • Excellent communication and project management skills; ability to execute under pressure, highly organized, and proactive;
  • Drive to take initiative, work independently and be accountable while also working as a team player by being collaborative, positive, and flexible;
  • Meticulous attention to detail;
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills;
  • Professional, confident and mature demeanor.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred);
